Both wrong. My server is in Ottawa, not Toronto. Plus they both have me for dial-up, but i have 5mbs dwn...

ip2location had the town i actually live in (voted for it)

maxmind got the town where the server i connect to is

1st one thinks I am in Hoffman Estates, IL. 2nd one thinks I am in West Chicago, IL.

I am actually in McPherson, KS.

1st one said I was in Virginia and I'm in Texas.

2nd one got it right on the button.

Both were wrong. Geographically they were "in the vicinity", but I wouldn't consider it accurate.

both correct but 2nd one even got area code (1st 3 numbers of all phones in area) wow omg thats why I dont do p2p kids.

First one was more accurate of my phyical IP location, the second seemed to look at client server IP's so I would say maybe the first is more accurate as far as physical IP location.

the maxmind one was off, but by one city (very close). the other one was in the same state, but a city I've never even heard of

Each gave a different city (different state even), but both had accurate other information.

Given the situation here at work, either of them could be accurate...I'd have to check with our network staff to be sure.

I'll try to remember to test them again when I get home.

The second was dead on. The first one was off by 953 miles (I live in southern NY, it said Atlanta, GA).
