Never been to NYC but I have been to LA and it sucks. It's not even close to being the best city in SoCal, let alone the country.

I agree. LA is the greatest city in the world.

BTW, I've been to NYC and it SUCKS

NYC.

So much culture, so many attractions. Los Angeles is seriously the last place in the contiguous 48 state that I'd like to live.

If we're doing top 5:

1. New Orleans
2. Baton Rouge
3. Mobile
4. Dallas
5. Birmingham

Of course Biloxi, MS is really #1 but it isn't a big city.

CHICAGO!!!
Sucks!

Hey Red Dawn, why isn't Oakland on your list? 😕
Oakland? Man Oakland is a Sh!thole, kind of like Roxbury! The only time I ever went to Oakland when I lived in the Bay Area was to see Games and Concerts. Other than that I stayed clear of the place.

Not even close.

They are just different, but if I was picking I wouldn't think twice, New York, New York.
L.A. Not even close! I hate even the thought of living in cold and snow. :Q

In California, if you want snow in winter, we drive about thirty minutes to the local hills or a couple of hours to championship ski areas. When you're tired of being cold and wet, you drive home, and it doesn't follow you. One of the California state mottos is, "Snow is something you visit." 🙂

I'm an electronic design engineer, and when I'm focused on a project, I feel a strong energy buzz, which is OK, as long as I can use it to do good, creative work. I've spent more than enough time in NYC, and the whole place feels like it has that same energy buzz, and it isn't focused. It's just there, and it really makes me nervous.

I have friends in NYC. I enjoy myself when I'm there (preferably NOT in winter), and I'm always glad when I leave. New York takes itself far too seriously. 😛

Well guys like Van Exel lived in the surrounding Communities like Menlo Atherton, Woodside, Palo Alto Hills and Oakland Hills so the only time they'd see downtown Oakland would be from the Freeway as they drove too and from work.
