POLL: Keyboard tray or desktop?

I was just cleaning up in my office (a spare bedroom) after getting a new desk for Christmas. One of the things on my list was to get my MOMO racing wheel put back in place and everything set up for when I want to race a bit. On my old desk, I would always have to take the keyboard tray off in order to fasten the wheel in front of the monitor, which was a hassle with my wired keyboard and mouse. I then thought how much easier this would be without a keyboard tray at all.

So what is your preference, do you like a keyboard tray to hide away your input devices, or do you prefer a desk with no tray, and your keyboard and mouse right there on the desktop for easy access at all times?

Keyboard tray. Desk is always a bit high when I set the chair to my preferred height. Plus, it makes it a lot easier whe nI wanna eat in front of the comp and such. Try getting one where yo ucan push it all the way in so it'll be easier to mount the wheel.

Otherwise, get wireless stuff?

i keep them on my desktop. I usually sit sideways with the monitor off to the side and the keyboard on my lap, so a keyboard tray wouldn't really work for me. Not that it matters since I don't use my desk for anything else anyway.

I use my keyboard tray. It's nice because sometimes I want to do some actual work at my desk and I don't have to deal with a keyboard taking up desk space.

My keyboard tray broke off cause I always leaned on it. Just took what was left of it off and I use the desk top now. Works better.

tray, desktop is too tall. mine doesn't sag either. i guess you guys just have POS desks.

Desktop is the only natural and comfortable position.

Trays are for short people. Probably the same people that complain that the MX700 is "too big."
