Poll: KDE or Gnome

So, what do you guys think is best for a Linux newbie who is gonna run Mandrake 7.2

Kde is better because Linux Mandrake 7.2 has the newest version (kde 2.0)

KDE for newbies it's the most "windows" like. but Gnome is pretty darn cool
anyway I use both depends on my mood

I am using Gnome on a Mandrake 7 install, look forward to seeing KDE 2 though.

kde is alright, it depends on your personal taste.
Both are perfectly functional, and well designed.

As stated, KDE is better if you're running Mandrake since that has always been their focus. I personally run WindowMaker though

Gnome here. A lot more options than KDE, and it's not so Windows alike

Helix-Gnome w/Sawfish. If I couldn't run that then I would run Windomaker. I ran Windowmaker for quite some time and I still like it.

I run both but I prefer Gnome, It rocks, but KDE kinda makes me feel nostalgic, brings me back to the early slackware days... I think Each has its good points.

im running gnome right now but i wanted to try kde2. how do i go about changing over?
