That's all the credit you give him? I've seen bricks that act better than those two. ;)
ru for real tom cruise is 1 of the most under rated actors
Please tell me your joking.

top gun
rain man
few good men
the firm
jerry mcguire
MI (r action movie but the first part was pretty good and Tom Cruise acted well )
last samurai (havent seen but heard its very good)

how many good movie has this guy been in, he doesnt get the credit he deserves

john cussak has played in 3-4 decent movies i guess

Top Gun - Cheesy 80's love story with F-14s thrown in for guys (I'll give you that one...)
Rainman - Carried by Dustin Hoffman
A Few Good Men - Carried by Jack Nicholson
The Firm - Very forgettable movie...in fact, I had forgotten about it until you mentioned it
Jerry McGuire - Woo! Show me the money! Yet another love story with sports thrown in for guys
MI - Carried by big explosions and neat sounding techy toys
Last Samurai - Haven't seen it

I'd say he's a talented actor, definitely. Fun to watch.

I'd also have to disagree with most of the people here and say that Tom Cruise is pretty talented as well. Maybe not the best actor in hollywood, but he's good.

Brad Pitt, though, is better. At least in my opinion.

I love John, he's a great actor, and has been for a long time. Last thing I saw him in was Identity. Being John Malkovich was an awesome, weird, dark film, and High Fidelity was gold, as was Grosse Point Blank. If only Minnie Driver hadn't been in it. Yeesh, she always plays the same damn character in every movie, and she was struggling hard to keep up with Cusack in GPB.

Yay on the strenght of Grosse Point Blank alone. High Fidelity was mildy amusing. Pushing Tin blew imo. Groose Point Blank is a classic though :D Oh, Serindipity wasn't bad either I guess. Chick flick but still good.

Except he always plays the same kind of character.

John Cusack is a good actor AND he's versatile. Go watch High Fidelity. Then go watch Being John Malkovich. It's hard to believe it's the same guy!

That`s what I like about Cusack. He is so versatile. For his generation of actors, I would say he is in top 3, along with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

Serendipity?

Only bad movie of his I have seen was the one in which he played the serial killer. Great acting, but the script blew great big chunks

decent, certainly not the best.

For acting quality id say Brad Pitt is king, 12 Monkeys and Snatch are 2 great examples.

And Seven Years In Tibet? Brad Pitt is definitely one of the better actors of the "younger" generation.

I think he's great. My favorite movie with him is Grosse Pointe Blank. Only movie he's been in I didn't like was...gasp...High Fidelity. That movie was so frickin boring I wanted to gorge my eyes out.

I like him. grifters was the first movie I seen him in that I really paid attention. Then GPB that was too cool. He's got talent but that doesn't always mean success.
