Poll: Jay-Z or Nas?

Nas's beats are usually more boring, but there's no question he's a better lyricist (is that even a word)?

they both suck. You people need to stop buying their products so these clowns can make a living doing hard work like the rest of us.

Wow, would you rather have a tooth extraction without novocaine or a prostate exam by Captain Hook...this is a tough one.

Definitely Nas.

Spend some time listening to both artist and you can definitely tell Nas is on a different level. Jay Z is a very smart and talented individual: business man and artist all rolled up in one. Nas on the other hand is a great rapper who can rhyme better then most commercial artist.

Jay Z got flows for days. Nas got the lyrics edge, but I slightly prefer flows over lyrics (you can only rap about so much, but if you do it with style, you are a great rapper).

someone's bitter. why don't you say this about all major recording artists then.
get out of this thread.

IMO Nas is a much better lyricist and that would make him better. Jay-Z uses too many made up words to make his flows rhyme. Nas doesn't do that nearly as often.

Jay-z has his place and i like them both. But i'm going with Nas between the two.

It's just slang. The thing I love about Jay Z is how he started the whole notion of using the same word multiple times in a bar as his multiple. It was ingenious, now a bunch of rappers use the style as their own.
