I was wondering, which of these three brands of shirt do you prefer - IZOD, Chaps or US Polo Assn? These brands are priced above clothing sold at Walmart or Target, but below brands such as Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein.
IZOD is owned by PVH, who also owns Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger along with several other brands such as Arrow, Van Heusen, Speedo (North America only), Warner's, and Olga (the latter three inherited from their acquisition of Warnaco).
Chaps is actually owned by Ralph Lauren but sold at a lower price point. The menswear line was for a while owned by Warnaco until 2013 when Ralph Lauren re-acquired it after Warnaco was acquired by PVH.
US Polo Assn is the brand of the actual United States Polo Association, the governing body of the sport of polo in the United States. They are usually priced on average $5 less than IZOD or Chaps.
I probably have more IZOD shirts than any other brand, mostly in my signature color, Pink. Lately I have been sold on their new Advantage Polo, which I now have in four different colors (Cradle Pink, Absinthe Green, Blue Radiance, and most recently Tea Rose).
