I'm about this close <holds fingers 1/16" apart> from picking up an IWill to pair up with my 1350 'bird.

I've seen tons of stuff about rev 1.2 problems, rev 1.1 problems, etc., but I notice there is nothing about the 266-R that seems to be of issue.

Those that have IWill's that are working, practically worship the board and its' speed and stability and overclockability. That's what I want to do. <G>

If you have an IWill board, please respond to my poll. Thanks. :)

I took the poll. Although I'm waiting for the RMA, I plan to overclock like mad when I get the new board. Especially, becuase by then I'll have a much better case. My case is so small now, the CPU fan is sucking hot air from the Power Supply. Hehehehe...

I'm shooting for at least 140FSB/980core on my 850 T-bird.

A few dudes over at AMDMB Iwill Motherboard Forum are saying they're getting over 150FSB CL2 on their Iwill Raid. I think some are getting close to 160 CL3.

Plus, in a few weeks, Iwill will *hopefully* be releasing a TurboBIOS for those who want to unleash the speed. Check out that board.. there are some good posts.

Same here waiting for my new one from iwill.Still using my old one and Ive got the fsb at 117 and sandra mem 540mb not bad.Cant do 133 fsb because of the mult. issue right now.Ive used either abit msi or asus in the past but I think I found that the iwill will be my board of choice from now on because of the way they handeled this issue.Besides I know this board is going to kick ass.

I have an IWILL KK266 non-Raid. Received it about a week ago and it was the 1.1 version. I kept it at the Jan 8 BIOS and did not upgrade because I had heard some bad things about the March BIOS. So far it was worked great. At first I was worried because it would not post but that was due to me having the floppy drive connected wrong! Since then it has booted up perfectly every single time.

I have my Duron 800 running at 950mhz. (9.5x100 FSB, and the DRAM clocked at 133mhz, 1.8volts). I tried 7.5x133 for a nice 1ghz but it fails Prime95 with rounding errors. That's because I put a resistor on the CPU fan to lower the RPMs by about 2000 to quiet it down some. Before lowering the CPU fan I could reach 1ghz, but I'm one of those weirdos who likes a quiet system!

I am very happy with the board.

My rig: Duron 800 oc'd to 950 (100 x 9.5), 256meg Cruical PC133 CAS 2, Prophet II MX at 210/215, 15 gig Maxtor, SB Live, Viewsonic A75f monitor.

Effexor,

Why don't you run 133FSB x 7? The 133FSB gives a real boost in performance from some of the benchmarks I've seen. And you would still have 931Mhz core.

nino???

:D

I assume your comment "you won't be happy" was supposed to read "you won't be sorry", right?

Superdooper,

I was wondering if 7 x 133FSB = 933mhz is faster than 100FSB x 9.5 = 950mhz... I'll have to try the 933mhz and run some benchmarks and see. I suppose both the RAM and FSB would be at 133 in sync so maybe that would compensate for the loss in CPU mhz.

Something to check out at least!

Now I'm ready for that "Turbo BIOS" that JackieO says will be released soon!

effexor, it will be much faster in all cases

933/950 = 98%, only 2 % "downgrade"

100/133 75%, a 25% downgrade on your actual bottleneck, where speed increases make a difference

Running a Duron 600 at 6X150 default voltage on my rev 1.1 - haven't had time to tweak anything. Sweet board...can't wait to tweak!
