Poll: Its BMI Time :)

I wish there was some reliable way for me to gain weight. Being underweight sucks. But I guess that it is partially genetics as my mother is 130, and my father Was ~130-150 when he got married, And he was about my height. One good thing though is our family blood pressure and Cholesteral has always been low, my dad who is pushing 300 still has a blood pressure of around 120/90.

Goes to show you that you too can be grossly overweight later in life, regardless of how thin you are now.

I'm high 24s.

32.6... I'm OBESE!!

6'5" 275

Actually I'm not, my body fat percentage is low 20's and so i have about 225 pounds of lean mass on me. The BMI is a bad thing to measure your fatness, since most pro athletes will be considered obese on the BMI

For example, take my man Donavan McNabb, he's 6'2" 240 and he would be a 30.8 on the BMI scale... except on the field he doesnt look like a big tub of ass running around.

So with that, i say eliminate the BMI and just stick to measure body fat percentage.

BMI is[/b] a measure of body fat in relation to the rest of your body.

I got a 25.1. meh.

BMI of 26.4, body fat of ~20% now (was 16% before my knee injury this summer). 6', 195lb -- smallest I've ever been was 182lb, when I was hiking 27 miles per day for almost four months straight. 😛
