definitely...You would have been faster at 3200+ speeds....If he had a 2.8c the 3200+ could be close and application depending....2.43ghz rocks for a barton and could lay a smack down on a A64 3000+...Go see Dapunisher's benches....

yeah I don't think so....I tested a 2500+ barton that I eventually oc'd to 3200+ and it was not much faster then my 2.4clet alone a 2.76ghz processor....

Extremely highly unlikely unless you figured a way to run an 800 Mhz FSB with that Barton and you have your RAM running in sync :D

LMAO!@THE "I don't have a computer just show results" option :D How can I see the results if I don't have a computer? If I don't have a computer, how can I see the results? </Pink Floyd homage>

Id go with a 2.8 sometime in the near future, then if you play any games, upgrade the video. I just went from my gainward ti4200 to a hercules 9800 PRO and wow, its nice.

Not to worry; your system is much faster than my ... little itty bitty laptop. ;)

Faster is funner? Both of my desktops are mostly fast enough for my needs right now (2100+ @ 2350 and 2500+ @ 2200 day-to-day or @ 2300/1.8vcore when I want a little extra). That's a bummer because I really, really want to upgrade. Sigh. And I recently overextended teh wallet by paying way, way too much for new skis. That's the first time I have ever paid near retail for ski gear. Ouch.

Right now I am just waiting to learn more about real-world Prescott performance (early adopters go get 'em!) and the some better A64 mobo options. If I can muster the patience, I'd like to see socket 939 and 2nd generation Prescott/mobos. My wallet will help give me the patience. Just have to hide the credit card.

Is your system faster than mine ??
Hard to say, since you didn't say what kind of HDD subsystem you've got. Dual 15000rpm Cheetahs on separate U160 cards here...

I'm not sure that any one of my systems are faster than yours (though I voted that one is!), but all of them together kick your systems a$$ Bwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhahahahaha!
