I own a PS2 for games that are just on consoles, like Soul Calibur 2 which i just got and it's downright awesome. But if it was for PC i'd buy it in a second for that instead.

I hate the Xbox, it's basically a PC anyway. Have you felt the weight of the thing? and the conrollers are huge. How is a kid supposed to use one? Although, it's great that MS loose $100 on each one they sell. What a total botch they made of the XBox. It's got to be the PS2 that wins the ultimate console award. It's a few years old, and still outselling anything else on the market. Plus sony's making a mint out of them because they actually make a profit on each console, and theres many more games available. The gamecube is ok, but I think it's more for the younger generation, although I have seen a few games out that make it seem like the games are maturing for the GC...

For racing games and things that you can sit down and chill out with (gran Tursimo all the way!) with a curry + beer and some mates, it's got to be the console. For serious online gaming late at night with a beer.... PC's win.

You complain about the Xbrick not fitting kids hands, apparently those beer cans fit lmao.

I just cant get enough of Super Smash Bros. Melee for GC! But consoles cant touch MOH:AA Spearhead online. That game is awesome!

Its a mix between my PC and my Xbox.

I play both alot, but I've been too poor for any new games on my Xbox, so lately i've just been playing BF1942...

I use my PS2 for FF's and Gran Turismo, Dreamcsat for Soul Calibur, shenmue and otehres...s kind of a kixed bag 🙂

One type of game that problably never would work right with a mouse/keyboard is a game like SC2 or SSBM, it just wouldn't work on a compu, btw, SC2 with link has to be one of the greatest games of all time, it doesn't have some stupid old man like on PS2, or some demon with crappy moves like on Xbox, GC is by far the best console, but can't compete with PC, cuz better game variety, and FPS do suck on consoles, only good one was goldeneye, tho that mighta been a third person shooter, i don't remember.

Ever hear of The Adaptoid?

It's the only perfect console controller adapter I know of. It uses an API where even emulators can directly access the I/O port peripherals (Mem Pak, Mic, Bio Pak, GB Transfer Pak, etc) and bypass the circle-square-circle axis conversion (You'd be surprised what this can interfere with... Link's magic-less sword spin move in Zelda:TOoT for instance...). Plus it supports DirectX Force Feedback for PC titles and copies Memory Pak data through an Explorer extention.

The XBOX USB adapters come in a close second thanks to dual, clickable sticks and analog buttons. I prefer the 6-button arcade layout and superior D-Pad of Nintendo's controller however (Ironically, that's my primary complaint about the GC controller, though it's nice otherwise).

Mostly PC, though the PS2 and GC have some great games. You just can't beat consoles when it comes to sport games...and a few othermultiplayer games. 🙂 Besides, SSX 3 is going to be awesome.

But yeah, where else do you get to play Desert Combat? 😉
