**POLL** is your computer your primary gaming system?

I got a PS2 a few months after launch and haven't touched it much. I guess I'm too used to the sharper graphics on a PC and the higher resolutions.

Same here, PCs just look better. Plus (in some most cases for me) it's cheaper to upgrade my PC then to buy a new console.

Yep, online gameplay is far better on PC than it ever could be on a console. XBox live is good, but i like using the PC to game for the better graphics too, patches mods ect ect.

It's about even between this and my gamecube, at least until i pick up Halo, HL2 and Jedi Acadamy, i don't really play much, only games i have played extensivly are HL, SC, and D2.

Out of my console collection:
GC, XBOX, DC, N64, PSone, SNES, NES, Genesis, Master System, GameGear, GB, GBC, GBP, GBA, GBA SP, GB Player, Virtual Boy, Jaguar, CD-i.

I'd have to say I play my GBA SP 300% more than everything else combined. Conveinient classics are a winning combination.
Next is GameCube. Metroid Prime, Zelda: WW, F-Zero GX, I can't get enough
Then it'd have to be my SNES, even though I own half the games on GBA in remake form 😀
PC comes in when I'm ready for FPS, deathmatch, and the netplay or technical use of a few emulators.
Then N64 because I'm the happy owner of a Doctor V64jr ROM cartridge emulator / backup device and so I'm lucky enough to be able to play Zelda: Master Quest on a real N64 😉
DC is worth a little time. Great games. Cheap prices.
XBOX is my toy. Just for hacking to bits. I bought only one game because it was $10 new and from Sega 😛
I have yet to use my PSone for anything but the LCD screen 😀
Can't say I use the NES much though I play NES games all the time on my PC and GBA (Thnx for the GBA NES emulators Pocket NES, eReader and Animal Crossing!)
Whatever you do, if you buy a Philips CD-i you're insane. I'm insane. I'm embarrased that I like Zelda that much. I should burn it because it burns my eyes to see it operate.

From spectrum to amstrad cpc464 then 6128 then pc then amiga 500,then again pc till today.
It is not comparable.A console might not have the outstanding graphs at high resolutions like a pc has, but it gives you a better sense of gameplay than a pc.
My bro though has a PS2 and i play from time to time ISS Soccer which has the best gameplay ever.(well the second one cauz i still have kick off2 in my heart!!!:brokenheart😉
But i'm a graphic maniac i couldn't do without my pc now!!!
By the way doeas anybody remember Shadow of the beast on Amiga500?
That was graphic revolution by all means!!!

I probably still play my snes the most. I also play gc quite a bit for newer games. And my computer I use for online gaming and titles that aren't available on gc, such as gta.

If you'd be interested, i kinda wanna get a CD-I, because i am a huge zelda fan aswell, even if the games suck, it is still worth it to me, i own all the zelda games cept the CD-I ones.

Well hmmm I wonder what the results are going to be on these forums...

But anyhow, my PC is where I spend 95% of my gaming time, my gamecube or emulation the other 5%.

Gamecube gets some really great games, but the time between them can be long and even when you have one it usually doesn't last too long.

Absolutely..

Blows any other console away...

Although XBOX holds in there close... Nothing beats Keyboard/Mouse along with what else i do on this PC.

it depends on how may people are here, and if i have a new game. Right now PC, when Halo 2 comes out Xbox. as i said it depends on what game i am hooked into at the moment.

I like the PC for games. It is easier (well maybe can't get used to the controllers) for me to use the trackball and keyboard. Plus the graphics are better but I (ok my kids) also have a Xbox, GC, and N64.

Yes,I like to play a lot of RPG games and the PC always has the most & best selection of titles.

I hate the Xbox, it's basically a PC anyway. Have you felt the weight of the thing? and the conrollers are huge. How is a kid supposed to use one? Although, it's great that MS loose $100 on each one they sell. What a total botch they made of the XBox. It's got to be the PS2 that wins the ultimate console award. It's a few years old, and still outselling anything else on the market. Plus sony's making a mint out of them because they actually make a profit on each console, and theres many more games available. The gamecube is ok, but I think it's more for the younger generation, although I have seen a few games out that make it seem like the games are maturing for the GC...

For racing games and things that you can sit down and chill out with (gran Tursimo all the way!) with a curry + beer and some mates, it's got to be the console. For serious online gaming late at night with a beer.... PC's win.

Yeah! I too prefer this setup. Lately I've heard that many game manufacturers are optimizing gameplay for keyboard/mouse combo.

I got tired of the price premium of PC components to keep up with games, got an xbox/wireless controllers/hi def AV adapter & play on big screen now.

(all for the price of the newest hottest vid card)

You do realize we've heard it all before right? Seeing someone claim "I think Gamecube is for kids. I think PS2 is cool because it's still number one. Microsoft looses $100 on every console sold." is an easy way to spot a guy who really doesn't know what he's talking about. We know it's what you've been told and not what you think because we've all heard it. I know it's expensive, but get into it then form your own opinion. 😉
