Yeah there kinda useless w/o the net and all. You really can't run a stable computer without hopping online and getting the latest drivers if you ever run into a problem ect ect.
You even need the net for single player games with the patches and all the bugs n nasty stuff. 56k must suck 😀
although i do have single player games and mp3s and whatnot...this past week when my internet was down (cable modem broke) and i didnt even turn my comp on that much. and when i did, i just ended up sittin in front of it and watching tv. i was too distraught over not being able to go on ATOT 😛
It actually helps me sometimes when the net goes down as I actually start to write reports that need to be turned in soon, but I also lose my main source of research (internet). But once I start the paper, I'll continue to write regardless of research.
Heh. While I'm online all the time, I'm always doing tasks locally in the background.
Thing is, I rarely lose internet access - but I'm starting to lose power MAJOR FRICKIN' OFTEN. All 23 computers are definitely dead weight without power.
