Normally, we take ours day a few days after Christmas, but this year we waited until January 2nd. Having the tree up past New Year's would just be depressing.

Anyone else feel the same way? I always feel a little depressed when taking down the tree, decorations, etc. after the holidays.

Being Eastern Orthodox, I keep my tree up at least until our Christmas on Jan 7. It's still up, but will probably take it down tomorrow.

We have a live tree that just moved out to the patio today. He was still green but very dry. I would have done it last weekend but I hurt myself at work and couldn't carry it around.

Wish I had some place to burn it though. I think the local nature center is going to get it and use it for mulch.

No tree - I generally don't do much of anything in the way of decorating, ever.

No Tree. None of the usual christmas festivities occur at my house, and I can hardly see the point in decorating for no one but myself.

Fake tree - took it down the day before I left for school. It seems to be the mark of the holidays for me - go home for winter break and put up the Christmas decorations and when I'm going to leave, help take them down.
