Is Trump burning down the house to screw with Biden?

Legitimate reason for Trump refusing to co-operate with the transition, making rash changes in foriegn policy, refusing GSA access, refusing to grant Biden to government resources to deal with the pandemic and begin vaccine planning? Legitimate reason or is Trump just hoping things are so bad for Joe Biden he will have a talking point for how good he was

I'm creating the poll as a baseline for future events. I'm fairly sure these actions will influence the next 6-12 months

trump thinks that since the Dems "went after him" during his tenure making the transition as difficult as possible
is only fair play. Of course he would never accept responsibility for the reasons investigations were started, that would mean admitting he's a lying POS.

He's been burning down the Fire Departments while bribing the Police Departments for the past 5 years. His "house" is fine.

Republican media is whipped up into a frenzy over a stolen election with "evidence" of the arrival of suspect ballots and or the miscounting of them. Far as they are concerned Trump won the election and they want to do everything in their power to ensure that it "stays" that way.

The game plan is to get the Courts to deny election certification so States cannot award 270 EC in total to either candidate. Then the process of electing the next President will go to the House. Basically the next session of Congress can elect Trump as President.

Contingent election
Procedures
Presidential election
If no candidate for president receives an absolute majority of the electoral votes, pursuant to the 12th Amendment, the House of Representatives is required to go into session immediately to choose a president from among the three candidates who received the most electoral votes. Each state's delegation votes en bloc, with each having a single vote. A candidate must receive an absolute majority of state delegation votes (currently 26 votes) to become the president-elect. The House continues balloting until it elects a president. As a consequence of the state delegation voting method, the party that holds the majority in the House could still lose the contingent election if the minority party holds the majority of state delegations.[5] The District of Columbia, which is not a state, does not receive a vote; the 23rd Amendment, which grants the district electoral votes, does not grant the District of Columbia a vote in contingent elections.
Historically, a delegation that did not give a majority of its vote to any one candidate was marked as "divided" and thus did not award its vote to any candidate. This practice, set by House rule, was responsible for turning the Jefferson–Burr election of 1801 into a multiple ballot election. This rule was also followed in 1825 but was not a factor in the outcome. The contingent presidential elections to date have been held in closed session, with the vote of each individual representative not being revealed outside the House Journal. The Constitution does not require a contingent election to be in closed session, and a future contingent election could be held in an open session with public voting.[2]

When unfortunately there will be 250,000 cases a day in late January, guess who's going to scream at the top of their lungs that Biden is a failure?

I remember the deluge of books that came out declaring the Obama presidency a complete failure in 2008.

The only reason they're holding off with Biden is because they're so far in the rabbit hole that Trump is the current President-Elect.

This is the first time Trump has ever lost or been told NO. I always knew he would be like a bull in a China shop if he lost.

Things are going to get ugly. You should never forget who enabled his behavior when you consider ticking a box next to any GOP candidate.

250K in late January? You are much more optimistic than me.

Honestly, I think he'd be doing much the same if he had actually won. Imagine what Trump would be like with 4 years of lame duck and a republican senate.

At least there's one upside to Trump vandalizing the government right now. If he really thought he was going to stay in office, he wouldn't be doing it.

Trump is indeed literally burning down the country. With firing key individuals, with ending emergency economic funding via Mnuchin, and by simply trying to dismantle the very foundations of democracy. And he is the patriot to these tens of millions of idiot rubes that think they are the real Americans. Fucking can't write this shit

That's a best case scenario (if all Trump is doing is trashing the country in order to leave Biden as bad a situation as possible). Although I am pretty much an optimist my thoughts are gradually evolving to the point that Trump's ultimate goal is to retain power by any means possible-by subverting the electoral process by PA and MI decertifying the ballot results and having (Trump) electoral college members chosen according to the wishes of politicians rather than the people.

We are facing an existential threat to the USA, one in which the future of the USA will be decided by a few GOP state officials over this weekend.

But in any event-at a minimum, Trump is going to leave Biden with a raging pandemic, economy in or near free fall with greatly limited governmental tools to correct, and a major international crisis (Trump's unilateral surrender and withdrawal in Afghanistan and continued undermining of Iraq).

That the people who support his actions wrap themselves in the flag is sickening.

Is anyone surprised that he is behaving like a 3-year old in the toy aisle at Wal-wart that was just to no to the toy he wanted?

The difference is the 3-year old will be over it after a nap, the 74 year old toddle will never get over it.
