2. i bought dvd like half year ago on buy.com's order.. it shipped today :)

I agree with you; it's really fcked up of Lucas to change what is essential the Geek Ten Commandments. I.E. the original three SW movies. BUT....but....at least we now have them on DVD (after HOW MANY years of waiting? ) and after a painstaking cleaning/remastering of the original print films, BTW.

I've read the articles on how the original films were restored...how they picked the dust specks off of each frame, etc....I think it's awesome.

The reviews of the DVDs do nothing but laud and extol the visual and audio quality of them....I MAY be able to deal w/the changed/altered scenes. Only time will tell. :)
