Everyone around the University of Pittsburgh calls it "Soda". Personally, I know better and I call it "pop". The strongholds for the word "pop" seem to be Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconson, mainly the upper-midwest.Originally posted by: mikebb
My girlfriend calls it "pop" (she's from Pittsburgh) and I can't stand it. I grew up saying "soda" and nothing else (I'm originally from NJ.) Of course, she also says a lot of other strange things like "sweeper" instead of "vacuum", and "buggy" instead of "shopping cart"Originally posted by: geno
