After you vote, don't forget to post your city/state or country to let us reposting bastages know where your coming from.

I call it "soda" and I've lived just outside the Portland Metro Area in Oregon my whole life.

Soda is what they say in the movies, the really bad movies.
Pop is hip, get with the times.

In all honesty, I call it carbonation.

Friend: "Want a coke?"

Me: "Nah, I don't drink carbonation."

Main Entry: so·da
Pronunciation: 'sO-d&
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian, from Arabic suwwAd, any of several saltworts from the ashes of which sodium carbonate is obtained
Date: 1558
1 a : SODA WATER 2a b : SODA POP c : a sweet drink consisting of soda water, flavoring, and often ice cream

Main Entry: soda pop
Function: noun
Date: 1863
: a beverage consisting of soda water, flavoring, and a sweet syrup

There is no definition for just pop, that refers to a beverage. I voted soda, but I call them by their brand.

I'm from NC. Here, it's soda, or you call it by it's name (how unique). Etc, "I'm going to get a coke/sprite/mt. dew"

My dad calls my grandfather "pop." As far as I know, no one calls his parent, "soda."

Besides, from what I've heard, all you "popcallers" actually call it, "pahhhp."
