Here we are again, at war with terrorism and infighting amongst ourselves. The P&N forum can attest to this...both sides are dug into their trenches, the battle lines are drawn, and this time the Silent Majority isn't silent. Is another peace movement even possible? Isn't Terrorism just a 21st century Communism? I noticed a progression...we have gone from fighting an enemy with no God to fighting an enemy with the wrong God. We have gone from McCarthyism and blacklisting Arthur Miller to hating Sean Penn and Michael Moore because they don't fall in line with what we are told is best for the Homeland. They are all extremists, and therefore bad. Of course, today people are only tried in the court of public opinion.

This hatred and thirst for blood led to an arms race before. What will the outcome of this war be?

I put this in OT, because this deals with neither politics nor news, but everything and everyone.

Too many ppl have "made a stand" about too many things. Too many protests, too many boycotts, too many sit ins and marches. It is all so blasé now.

The difference is that in the last century the movements were acctually fighting for something. Vietnam, civil rights, ect. Don't try and compare yourself to them.

Yeah, peace is so, like, 1960's-ish.

Do you watch the news? Violence never goes out of style.

Yes, drugs are bad, I learned that from the man when I was in grade school too...the conditioning can be reversed, though.
