Like what they ran to fast and where to stable ?
Quite the opposite. It ran hot and randomly rebooted due to the overheating.

What CPU model was it and what mobo did it run on ?

I find that people who have the most problems with AMD usually buy really crappy motherboards and then blame it on AMD.

Probably a guy that was using an older VIA chipset. Remember the fun days of the 4 in 1 drivers?

I had a top-of-the-line the Soyo motherboard running a XP2000...

Well there is the problem then, there are no top of the line Soyo boards.

wow, in light of this new information, it is obvious AMD's case is unwarranted
Where did I say that? Don't make ASSumptions.

I'm just saying AMDs haven't been up to par with Intel chips in the past. It may not be the case now.

??? I believe it was this motherboard.

It's quite legit from all I've read about it. That's not to say that they'll have an easy time of it in court though. Intel is going to be tough, they have fleets of boatloads of cash and a ton of lawyers on staff.

Maybe there'll be a ruling by the end of the decade....

I'm rather cool on Soyo boards, I owned one for a day and returned it and bought a Asus instead and never regreted it. Stability can be affected by hard drives, PSU and memory as well as the mobo.

All I'm saying is that we use AMD cpu's in business machines that stay on 8-12 hours a day everyday 5 days a week so stability and reliablity is required.

There is no such thing as a "top of the line" "soyo" motherboard. The two terms mean completely opposite things.
