Palm just because of the ipaq's price ... If they were the same price Ipaq by a mile but right now its just too expensive.

Which palm? The m105 and the ipaw serve completely different purposes. I think the ipaq is the cooler geek toy, but I think that palms tend to be more useful as an organizer

IPaq no questions. My friend owns one and other than the price it's pretty freakin sweet.

I hate palm's. Crappy os, crappy screen, crappy everything. I got a Palm V for $50 and I still didn't think it was worth it (sold it). Save up for an IPaq or don't bother :)

Compared to a Palm m505...iPAQ hands down. ($500 iPAQ vs $449 m505).

For $175, I think my Clie will be fine for me. If I had $500 though, I would have bought an iPAQ.

IPAQ hands down. Palm is like AOL. It's great to start, but you need something with more power.

Personally I love my HP Jornada 548. With the 32+256 MB of RAM on it I basically have a concert in my pocket....no, not that kind!

The ipaq is far better, there are only two things that they can improve on, smaller and lighter.

I have a Handspring Visor, but only because I got it for $40 from Staples (Hot Deals).

I work with iPaq's.... They arn't as good as they seem...
1.) too big. I'll stick with my Palm.
2.) When the battery dies (and it will)- you are cleared... gone.. everything but the contacts (and that's an iffy one too)
3.) Sync software for Lotus Notes- Sucks... Syncing software for windows... ok.. put not good enough.
4.) Graffiti is hard as hell to get used to. Palm has the graffiti down..
5.) too expensive right now.
6.) Microcrap OS.

But that is just my opinion... I'm sure my Visor could get ripped on too...
But I like it...

1) It's not THAT big
2) True dat
3) Syncing software for PocketPC's (Activesync) is far superior to HotSync or whatever you call that Palm junk
4) Grafiti? PocketPC's use Transcriber. You write on the screen as if you were writing on a pad of paper. You can write anywhere on the screen and it will recognize your handwriting. You can write in print or cursive. 10 times better than Grafiti. You can also use the keyboard and JOT with PocketPC's, but nothing beats Transcriber.
5) Not much more expensive than the Palm m505. Remember, it's color and it does a lot more than a Palm is capable of and YOU WILL pay for it.
6) What's crap about it?? Care to explain?? It's a very stable OS.
