I'm seriously conflicted, don't know which one to buy, am leaning towards an Air

I have a first gen Mini and an iPad 2, and a couple of cheap 7" tablets, I use the iPad 2 every day, mostly for videos, and when I travel with a BT keyboard instead of a laptop. I throw a craptablet in my bag as a daily driver and tether to my phone, with the rationale that I don't care if the cheap tablet nexus 7/Tab 3 7.0 gets beat to death/dropped, etc.

Plan on selling the Mini and the 2.

What are your thoughts?

Well, depends on your usage I would think. If it is going to spend 99% of its life at home then you may as well make use of the larger screen.

But if it is going to other houses, airports/planes, bus, around town etc then I prefer the smaller tablets. THey're just more portable and large enough that web browsing is still acceptable.

Ordered a 32 GB Air from B&H, with the cell radio, free shipping, no taxes.

Hopefully TMobile will have it's free data sorted out in a few days by the time I get it.

It depends how you use it. The mini is just incredible in size/weight. But on balance I'd go for the larger screen for films, photos, web readability, etc.

Yep definitely the larger screen (10 incher) will be easier on the eyes for lots of reading. High res on small screen isn't necessarily a good thing because of this as everything will look smaller.

If you will be holding the pad for a long time the Mini will suit as it's 25% lighter than the air.

Can you hook up iPad to a digital camera via USB cable and download videos to iPad and upload them to youtube? Can this be done?

EDIT: I got my own question answered. After searching it can be done easily. Connect USB adapter cable (purchase separately) from iPad 3, 4, or Air (or iPad Mini) to digital camera. Download the video files to your iPad. Go to youtube and go to upload. Select the video file you want to upload. It's pretty simple. Good this is what I need as I record a lot of videos for my cables to youtube.

Another question, can you hook up an external USB DAC to iPad Air or Mini? Will it work?

And that brings me another question. If you get that connected how will you get AC power to feed the iPad? The data / power connector is already used up. There is nowhere else to get AC power once the battery runs out. Anyone?
