Poll: IntelliMouse problems.......naturally

Yesterday the wheel on the mouse just quit. First thing I did was blame this VIA chipset, so proceeded to delete the mouse and re-install. Didn't work, went to MS web site and looked at FAQ's. Did every thing I could to get it to work, even plugged into the Serial port with adapter, still no go. Gave up on it last nite. Booted this morning and it still didn't work, so I just decided maybe the wheel died and would just replace it. However......after about 1 hour of net surfing it decided to start working again. WTF?

M$ used cheap wires on the mouse, your mouse may die eventually. Get the reciept out and get a replacement if you can. I think they changed the quality of the wires they were using. Mine shorted after a little over 2 months of use.
