There are a ton of people on here who signed up for the ING Direct $50 promo.
I think it's even still running

So, did you take the money and run or do you still have an account?

I'm curious how their promo worked out as far as getting them more customers.....

Mine's still open and funded, I'm earning almost $20 in interest a month from them. It's too bad their interest rate has dropped down from like 3.75% to its current 2.75%. It's really convenient being able to move money from my savings account to my checking account in a few clicks.

I had mine before the $50 deal......when they were doing $25 refer-a-friend thing.

That was way back in the days of fat juicy interest rates
Still have an account, but not making nearly so much on interest these days 🙁

Yes, opened the account with $1, received my $50 bonus THE NEXT DAY since then I have deposited another $150 into my account.

You can't beat 2.75% and it's easy to transfer funds from ING Direct to my other checking accounts held with other banks.

They seem to have one of the highest interest rates around all the banks in my place. I still have the account although I never did get the 50 dollars they promised. 🙁
