Ok, I want to know who is being affected by this. I've literally read hundreds of posts across several different forums, mostly viarena.com. It seems like everyone is affected by this. I fear I will be to when I put together my new machine in the next couple of weeks.

So far there have been many suggestions for fixing it, but nothing really 100%, just hacks it seems like or guesses.

 
I see no poll.. but I'd like to say.. my KT7A-Raid board is affected. somewhat stable with the 21.81 drivers from Elsa, but still not what I would like.. been trying different things from viaarena.com but it only delays the problem.... their goofy patch made my sound crackle again.. that I couldn't put up with...
