Just wondering, would anyone like to see that as a feature? Note, I'm not including this in FI because I'm not calling for this change, I just want to see what people think of this idea. It could be interesting to see a users progress from newb to neffer when viewing old threads.

Edit: After four and a half years, I've finally gone golden!

Too much information. Especially in OT, where it's mostly useless information.

Had a feeling most wouldn't like it, was just something that came to mind :)

I wouldn't mind it ... but don't really care that it isn't there.

(nef)QF..T

actually, i don't look at my postcount often enough and hadn't noticed till the page reloaded :p

as far as it being a global property, that's really up to the discretion of the programmers. the postcount can appear in the text field itself (you know, the one we type in), which would just append the number (and probably won't be necessary to add another field to the table), or it could appear underneath the user's avatar, which probably would warrant the need for another field to the database.

the first way is far simpler, but it also requires tweaking. i wouldn't want to try it. it's a cumbersome job.

if you're concerned about your postcount, just do this:

this is my 5001st post.
