Do me a favor. Next time you go to In-N-Out and order a double-double plain with cheese. You will not like what you get. I like meat on my burgers, I want it juicy and lots of it - you do not get this from In-N-Out. You get two tiny, charred, flavorless patties.

Before you say so, I've been to in-n-out probably over 50 times, in joints all over LA. I always seem to get dragged there by fanboys. It was also the only burger joint open in Westwood at 1am.

Never been to sonics but since * > In-N-Out, I vote sonics.
