I would say centrino. NOt having integrated wireless kills Tina on campus and that protruding PCMCIA card is a hassle...plus it's just way too big.

Is this supposed to be a portable computer or a desktop in a tight case?
Given the options you've presented, however, speedstep.
Batter life = win.
That kind of power in a laptop is silly and unnecessary anyway. The lame-duck HDD will hold you back first as far as the responsiveness of the system goes.

It has internal wireless...

I guess I'll stick with my 3.06 w/ speedstep then. I always though that HT == much much higher performance..

If u are always near a power outlet... get the HT.

But if you need 2 hrs + of battery time... you have to stick to ur 3.06.
