All my stuff is still wired, but if it were wireless, the antennas would definitely be at an acute angle, because that's more attractive.

they should be the same angle strengthneing each other. If you have a program that measures signal strength, you will see that the 2 antennas having the same orientation will yield the highest signal strength.
Move them around (both your router and the card's antenna in your computer) to get the best signal strength...and yes, even a little bit of angle difference makes a big difference.
