Well, I am gonna buy one today or tomorrow, but I really can't decide. The 4 GB Mini iPods are $249, and 15 GB regular iPods are $299. I don't know what to choose...

I would go for the 15GB model. My brother in law has one and it's really nice. It's on my list of gifts for this year!:D

15GB
because the normal ipod is small and fits in your pocket (about 8oz), whereas the mini IMO is too small and is much eaiser to lose. Plus 11GB for $50.

the tiny ones, I doubt you will realy miss those 11gb's since 4gb's can hold about 1000 songs which is more than enough for most people, expecialy since its so easy to replace songs you dont listen to that much

definitely the 15. i bought one a few months ago, and trust me, those things fill up super fast. you suddenly get all these random songs in there and entire albums and stuff, plus you may start using it as a drive to store documents. i've used about 8gb of my 15, and it grows by about 15-20 megs everyday.

My daughter got a 2nd gen 20gig for Christmas, but installing the software changed her MMJB Plus to a earlier version, and now all her mp3s are degraded (128 changed to 96, and 96 changed to 64). Anybody run into this? I haven't had a chance to look into it yet...

Hmm, I just realized the 15 GB doesn't come with the dock :(

I really wanted the dock and thus I was aiming for the 15 GB regular iPod. Now, since getting a regular iPod with dock will cost me at least $100 more, I might go with the mini.

I would probably go with the 10 GB that's on clearance at the Apple Store + educational discount (there was a thread in HD) if I were to get a brand new one right now.

4 gig mini because I'd only want a huge HD if it could hold all of my music and 15 gigs is nowhere near large enough for that.

What's "not quite there yet" about it?

The 4GB. Unless they make a 100GB iPod there's no way I'm gonna fit my entire collection onto the thing.

I really do like how small the Ipod Mini is so that is a toss up. If it was me......I'd get the 15 because I get 20 bucks off for being a student anyways....
