God, I can only imagine what that would be like. My heart goes out to people in such a situation.

You better believe it.

I'd probably drop out of college and do a lot of outdoor activites. Hiking, rock climbing, laying out in the countryside. I'd try to be as peaceful, relaxed, and happy in my final days.

Well, most people who are terminally ill don't have the ability to enjoy the last days of their lives.
So it's not as easy as many of you make it sound.

Yep. Would be pretty odd to not know something is wrong and your time is soon at that point. Still, I'd want to know.

Ofcourse. Time for a vacation. Plus it gives me time to prepare myself and my funds for my wife and family. And to stop working 70 hours a week.

I'd want to know just to have an informed opinion on my treatment, for example if the doctors were proposing treatment that would make no real difference or would extend my life for a month but at the cost of spending most of the time at the hospital.

Doctors are often wrong about "terminal" illnesses though, a co-worker at my old job was given 6 months to live (bad cancer) about 4 years ago and is doing pretty well today.

Yeah, I'd want to know. I'd want to know the dateof my death no matter when it was. It would be very liberating.

Bingo. Well, maybe not go crazy, but there are a number of things I would need to do and people I would need to see and talk with if I knew I would not be around in a month. Things that I'm waiting for the opportune moment for right now that I'd suddenly have to stop waiting for and just do.

Yes! There are many things I would want to do before it happened.
