Poll: If Wal-Mart, Google, and Microsoft merged could they achieve world domination?

well, the more successful the business is, more ideas could be created... I'm sure they would if they did merge, but that'll never happen.

nope. you'd have to throw in liquor stores, gun stores, drug dealers, and uh.. i think that should cover it. make sure the wal-marts have mcdonalds in em

I like all the companies. Except there's no WalMart near me. But if there was, I'd go there.

wal-mart sells liquor and guns. Drug dealers? have you SEEN the people in wal-mart!? I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem.

um i dunno man, google? are they really a world power?

If they stopped allowing people to use their search engine, no one would be able to find anything on the Internet, hence bringing the world to its knees. 😉

could you imagine the threads here if google imploded? :Q

Mostly in the US. In European countries, Linux has been winning some battles lately and Wal*Mart is only in the US. Google is useful for everyone because of no advertising and fast service, doesn't seem like something that they would do.

i am quite sure Wal-MArt is in Canada and Mexico , so i think you have to change that to "only in North America"

Microsoft would have to merge with the biggest phone company, the biggest electric company, the biggest oil company, and Wal-Mart.

Then world domination would be on the horizon.

No, the FTC might have something to say about that.

Plus, MS will have to get Walmart to stop selling lindows pc's.

no because you have a big store chain and two big software (or web) companies.

The hardware peoples (AMD, Intel, Crucial, etc.) could thwart the efforts of all three by making a special deal with other OS's (mac's OSX, Linux, etc.) by building their chips only to support those OS's (i bet it could be done, and they could put something in there that rejects MS and Google stuff).

Then, they could ruin Wal-mart by selling their PC's elsewhere.

But, if you had said: Wal-mart, Microsoft, Google, and Intel . . . then my answer would have been a big yes.
