You currently have:

Asus K8T800 (no pci/agp lock)
AMD 3000 Newcastle Socket 754

If you wanted more CPU power, which of the above would you do?

Might need to add another 40 dollars for a Zalman HSF unit, if you wanted to overclock the 939 a lot more.

If you're just looking for more CPU power and don't need an NF4 or anything, I'd sell the K8V and try a DFI Lanparty (this board offers the greatest overclocking capability on S754) and a Zalman or Thermalright cooler, then overclock it (assuming you have a CG stepping; the C0's don't seem to overclock well).

You should be able to OC that CPU quite a bit.

I would still stay with ASUS. They make the K8N-E Deluxe, and K8N. Both very nice overclocking boards with working locks.

Just swap out boards. That would be the most cost effective.
