Some people are just stupid and need a reminder from George Carlin

You are so full of shit...

Let's say you and your s/o are walking down the street. Of her ex's come up to her and yells BITCH, CVNT, WHORE. You do nothing. She looks at you as if to say, "aren't you going to do something"? You respond, "so what honey it's only words"

I'm sure that would go over well.

Someone didn't watch the video...

That or you're too stupid and need a dictionary to lookup the word "context"

First, some of the unjustifiable frustrations about "asymmetric" privileges to use the word N***** fall into the category of "manners" as Obama implied.

Second, people of a different complexion using the word among themselves privately are simply showing the hypocrisy of their racism, and their defensive affinity for "white identity." White Identity is a refuge for individuals collectively beset with some self-esteem problem.

There would certainly have been a time in our history when a survey of black citizens might prove that some unspecified number of black people secretly wished that they were white -- a reaction to the circumstances of oppression and social status. You would not find this feature among Caucasians. Did you ever hear a white person wish they were black, even as a matter of confidence between two of the same? Can you even imagine a white person with such a wish?

I'm totally opposed to the idea that we should censor Mark Twain's books which contain the word in a historical and cultural context, displaying exactly the same factors I've already mentioned. And in that "context," a further examination of Twain's works puts him in an enlightened and contemporary sphere 150 years ahead of his time. Take for instance the crime mystery "Pudd'n'head Wilson."

As a Caucasian, Trump's use of the word -- particularly in context of seemingly private conversation -- just demonstrates his lifelong racism. If he were to do it publicly, then we heap onto that the criticism for manners. But the mannerly thing to do is to avoid using the word at all, barring some exception to contexts that would make it inoffensive for those people to whom it applies as derogation.

Yes - The PC crowd comprising of retards call black people African American. The new one gaining popularity with the PC crowd is "People of Color"... Which is funny because all they ever mean when they say that are black people... and "people of color" is awfully close to the previous "colored people" that was using to racial segregation times. Anyone with half a brain simply calls them Black.

Just because you're black says nothing about your heritage - In that regard then EVERYONE is African American.

If a person informs me in a civil manner that that person dont like being referenced in a certain way ill change my ways right on the spot. What comes off me? Nothing. So why wouldnt I? On the other hand if someone says "draw the prophet again and ill blow something up" .. then ill keep drawing till my pens wear out.

Right - and thats the irony. Black people don't request to be called "African American" or "Colored people". Calling them black is perfectly fine.

See:

The prop comic on the right - while an obvious joke - is every stupid fucking liberal here that thinks "black" is offensive.

I mean, unless you are a black man, that opinion carries little weight. I dont care, I am not on this planet to offend anyone and I personally dont get offended if I am requested to substitute one noun for another.
Anyway in a few years, with bio-hacking and crispr/cas9 everyone can be the color they want to be, it will all be moot.
PS. I think the second you generalize with "Calling them" you are moving onto thin ice.

You mean like the black man in the video? I wasn't the one giving the opinion. As I said, I've never seen or heard a black person that wishes to be called "person of color" or even "african american"

Then you're speaking of your experience only. You can't speak for all black people and shouldn't try. I'm with cygt on this.

He thinks he can. Words like that have no meaning to him because he has no concept of history.
