I can't decide which way is better and more convenient. I wish pic posters would reduce the size of the images to < 1024x768 unless it's an HQ pic.

I don't use it by default, but when someone posts a huge pic and I have to scroll, it isn't as clear what is the focus of the pic. :|

I would do the same except I would like to know if an image is supposed to be larger than shown. I don't want to have to mouseover every pic for a couple of secs I come across for that. Firebird has a nice option with the magnifying glass (and "scaled" warning) to indicate it's supposed ot be larger.

I find that the resizing tends to screw with the distinctness of lines and such. I nitpick like that.

Yes, I've noticed on many occasions that if it's a people pic... their eyes are screwed up a bit.

IE doesn't resize the image within an html page either.

The resize is to the full size of your browser window. If you don't use it, you can't see the whole image if it's too large... so I don't know how you f@... err... enjoy the pics anyway.

Regardless.. pics are so '90s. Ya gotta go with the vids! :D

I'd rather scroll it around and eliminate the tacky furniture on the set. Really, who the hell actually owns a leopard-print couch?

Vids are nice, but for that photo-quality sharpness, you gotta go with the pics.

I don't use it. It has a bad tendency to resize pics to a ridiculous size when they are only a millimeter off the screen. It's a damn shame that MS didn't think to work the image resizer in reverse, too. Like, if there is a big image, you can click the shrink button and it'll resize... no, it's gotta be so that it opens, takes 3 seconds to resize itself, then 2 seconds for the expand button to come up, the 3 more seconds for it to expand.

Or maybe I overlooked the fact that you could do it in reverse.

Out of IE and Firebird's methods, I prefer Firebird's, but I turn it off in both browsers. Pics that are resized on the fly tend to have terrible quality... when someobody codes an automatic image resampler, then I'll consider it. But on the whole, I prefer to view exactly what was meant to be there ;)

No it doesn't work in reverse - it's a feature I'd love to have also. And it only takes a brief second to resize upon load. It's the icon to undo the resize that takes 2 seconds to show up that bothers me.
