I too got it for free (but not anymore), and I'd say that 80% of the time, the articles are better than the pics. I would never pay for this rag.

Occasionaly there are some decent pix, but supposively better can be found on the internet......I wouldn't know that myself tho.....

wow i didnt get one relevant reply. but i used to have the free year, then paid a year, then stopped. just catching up on the 50th anniversary issue. love the letters to the editor...tried to cap some with my s230 but doesnt turn out too good. darn.
