No I used the Mac in a graphics class and the thing would constantly crash and crash on me so i grew to hate them and I did the class work on a PC with teh same software..i hated it that much!

i hate the software and the inflexibility, the ideas are great though(like FireWire)

The Mac just sucks from soup to nuts. The OS sucks, the CPU is wasted (until OS X, yeah right) and the design is for little girls and for 40-year old acid heads.

I noticed one really big design flaw on the G4 Cube. Being it has no fans (oh those horrible fans), there is a huge wide open grill on the top of the unit. Think about it, in a year or so about 2 inches of dust is going to float into the unit. How are you supposed to clean that? I doubt the majority of Mac users know how to crack open a case. I wonder if these things are going to start catching on fire in about a year. That should be pretty cool.

Jobs, work on the guts not the looks.

Macintosh: The dumb blonde of personal computers.

my biggest complaint?

the lack of a proper taskbar (the finder drag off menu does not count) that will let you switch between windows in one app, or even an alt-tab that will let you do that. I have to work with multiple browser windows at work and having to mouse nav between them sucks.

I like the hardware. Sure its not open like a PC but it is designed well and its usually top quality stuff. The G4 procesors are very fast, and do compare to a faster clock speed PIII.

I hate the TERRIBLE OS more then I hate the hardware.
Macs used to be all SCSI, how could you beat that.

I deal heavily with macs at work. I'm the network admin at an advertising agency, and all my production people/artists swear by them. They all tell me though, that the G4 isnt that much faster then their trusty G3's. Just a prettier box. I will say one thing, the new G4's are a godsend, they are very easy to upgrade, and are actually modular, unlink their older brothers. And they take regular PCI cards just like any other computer.

I still love my PC though, but I've learned to adapt to this other race of people.....

I love the hardware but hate the software. It's actually the software that causes the instability, run Linux on a Mac and you'll see how good the hardware really is. The IBM 7xx series processors (Gx in Mac-speak) are very nice, and there are some nice innovations. The OS is holding the Mac back, if the OS could multitask well and there was better memory management Mac could be quite a nice system.

Macs are designed for little girls. One of my fingers easily takes up two keys on those little keyboards and that dinky hockey puck mouse is also tiny.
