My mom has a 83 volvo station wagon. Sure its had its problems, but it has been around more than a cheap mexican ho and it keeps going. It'll break 300,000 soon.

Hehe since I live in volvoland, I also have some experience w/ volvo stationwagons..
have had a couple of em all three of em made it past 450 000 kilometers.

but today's stationwagons have a little more go in them (well some at least).

so sometimes they are really boring (like old volvos) but there are others, like the A6 avant and such. they are neat, a 4wd 300hp racecar for grocery shopping :=)

Oh how I want. Ricers eat your heat out. This ain't your momma's station wagon. I can toast an integra off the line, haul (the future) kids to school, and get groceries in a wagon that does 0-62 MPH in 5.7 seconds. Yeehaw!!!

Yeah people still think of them as big boats but there are some nice looking ones out right now. The Audis and Volvos are the first that come to my mind. If the V40 came with a manual I would consider getting one.

i LOVE station wagons. why? because the people that buy them are smart people. they don't make their decisions based on the latest fad or by what looks cool (i.e. SUV drivers). they aren't that shallow. they get the performance characteristics of a car, and lots of room for hauling stuff.

Yeah, I would much rather drive around a wagon than an SUV. SUV's drive like trucks; scary! Wagons drive like a car with decent hauling capacity.

I got a station wagon. And no I'm not old. I'm only 18. It was my moms old car, I got it now and it's good. It kicks pretty well on the freeway with it's lil 1.8 4-banger. I got some sounds installed. I got a bandpass with 2 Polk Ex10's and they pound. Hehe, it's decent for now untill I have enough for a new car.

I drive the SUV. The way I figure it is we're all going to die, but we don 't have to drive around in a hearse. Live on the edge...don't buy a station wagon.

Avants are cool as hell. The new issue Sports Car International has an article on the Audi RS4. 380hp AWD and 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.

I dunno.. ever since I drove an Escort Wagon in high school, wagons leave me a bad taste in my mouth. Hatchbacks (5 doors) are right down my alley though.
