I would pay nothing - don't need it. This thread belongs in Merchandise and Shopping.

You need a $0 option for those of us who wouldn't pay anything for something that silly. Why would anyone want to stand in front of their fridge door to make use of a very limited tablet PC?

Zero, zip, nothing. This is a case of a product manager going all geeky and not doing their market research.

I'd pay no more than 1k for that. It's cool, but not something I'd want to spend a fortune on. A typical fridge is a bit under 1k, so I think it's fair to pay about 1k for one that has a tablet glued on it. I'd also wait for the T9001 model to come out. That way it's over 9000.

This sums it up for me, I can't wait for everything to be rfid tagged, then the fridge could scan it in automatically.

I think a lot of people may be out of touch with reality though (or obviously not in the market for such a fridge, which is fine). Any french door fridge with 30< cubic feet of storage and stainless steel finish will MSRP over $3k. So the question I guess it, what is the added value *on top* of that $3k.
