POLL: How much will, soon to be #1 draft pick, Palmer suck in the NFL?

forget that he is being drafted by the bengals...even if it was a good team

he is the only one the bengals are trying to get a contract from for the 1st pick

I'm sorry... but I can't seem to get past that fact.

I think Palmer has pretty much all of the tools to be a successful NFL QB... Except that he's going to the Bengals.

I know it's a cliche, but the Bengals really could turn it around soon. Paul Brown is a disgrace, but if they shore up a few areas and keep their few good players they could be OK by the time Palmer is ready. If I were Cinci though, I do everything I could to trade down.

This poll is stupid. You can't ignore the fact it's the bengals..it's where college prospects go to die. It's no wonder, as they have the smallest scouting team in the entire league. They are a joke and if I were drafted by them I would demand a trade, hold out, do anything I could to avoid that horrible horrible situation. They are BY FAR the biggest joke in professional sports.

I would tend to disagree, seeing as how the Rangers have actually won a championship in the last 10 years.

But they havent done anythign since then. I'm glad Philly got rid of Lindros

With that talent and payroll they should have won at least 9 in that span. I mean it's a dead heat, I think both teams are managed with equal ineptitude. It's just that they're inept in totally different ways.

And your point is? The Bengals haven't done anything EVER.

Paul Brown is a disgrace,

Gah! My eyes are burning! The only bad thing Paul Brown ever did was sire Mike Brown.

Why does everybody always get those two confused? They are complete opposites in the world of football.

Paul = Greatest Football Coach ever
Mike = Most inept NFL owner ever

LOL, I'm sorry. I'm a Steelers fan so I just have "Paul Brown Stadium" in my head when I think of the Bengals.

yeah there is a BIG difference....
well as sad to say I think as a bengal fan this is the most pessimistic i have ever been going into a season...we lost our #1 defensive player and have replaced him with people past their prime

They lost two super bowls. 🙂

Carson Palmer is ready to throw in the NFL right now IMHO...it is good that the Bengals are 'planning' on not starting him...at least that is what they are saying right now.

As for the Bengals as a team...they have many good players. Maybe this coaching change will turn over a new leaf (not ryan leaf). Will the Bengals be in the play-offs next year? I wouldn't bet on it...but I think they have a good chance to win 5-8 games next year.
