Actually this is quite ridiculous. So much so, I deleted 32mb from the poll.

Just for yucks I installed one 128 stick. I had frequent system errors.

In my main rig I have 512... and I don't know if I even max that out (I do audio and video editing and haven't had a problem yet)

On my work machine I have 256, and it works just fine for what I do with it (which pretty much is running quickbooks, iTunes, winamp, internet, and watching movies/videos on it.

My server only has 256 in it... granted it's only a 300mhz pentium II, but it still chugs along great with windows 2003 server.

The good news is I have a GIG in both my machines! 🙂

The bad news is they are both still running SDRAM 🙁

Ok. Did the best I could with what was out there. To many responses already, so 64 is now 768.

1 GB of PC3200 @ 510MHz. Yes I use it, compiling with Quartus II, VS.NET 2003, several IE and Firefox windows, Word, and Matlab with the occasional image editing at once will definitely eat up a bunch of memory 🙂
