POLL: How many times do your dog(s) get fed each day?

Once a day, fed in the morning.

They eat from it for about 8 hours (dry food). 2 Dalmations around 65Lbs a piece.

We feed my dog (65lbs Collie) whenever his bowl is empty. We want to feed him 3 cups a day in the summer and 5-6 in the winter, but he'll never eat that much.

He's big on people food though. 🙂

I found that the less I feed them the less crap I have to shovel. About a 8 oz cup a day and my 5 yr old lab stays a steady 150 lbs.

definately not my cat. she must think that she won't be fed anymore and must eat it all. if we fed her 5 cups of catfood a day she'd eat it, and throw it all back up.

1 feeding a day for her.

we feed my dog a bowl full of purina, bowl size being a cool whip plastic bowl. at night.

we also give her some bones throughout the day, like one when we leave for school, and one when we get home.

shes 14 not to scared of her dieing early anymore.

The golden lab has food whenever he wants... he nibbles and doesn't gorge himself.
Ditto for the miniature shepherd mix... She has all the hard food she wants, but gets supplemented with 2 large cans of pedigree soft food during the day.

The golden retriever... we do all we can to control the food he gets. He's only supposed to have 2 small bowls a day, but he'll eat whatever he can get. If you *had* a bag of potato chips to nibble from while watching tv, got up and went to the bathroom, they'd be gone when you got back. Ditto for loaves of bread left on the counter or table.

We fill the bowl when it's empty. If we happen to let it go too long, and she's hungry, she'll drag the bowl around a bit to get our attention. Usually there's food in there as she holds out on eating until after we have a meal--to see if she's going ot get any scraps. We don't get her them much, so, afterwards she'll eat her food.

Oh, and usually we fill it 1/day, sometimes 2x if she's very hungry or we're eating a lot of meals at home.
