Until it starts to pull rather than cut.
I use a generic double blade maybe 3-4 weeks of everyday shaving (fairly heavy beard) when just shaving face and neck. The more hair you shave (ie,head AND face/neck) the sooner it will become dull.

I use the Schick Tracer FX twin-blade thingamabobs. They're awesome when new. All blades apparently aren't created equal, though. Some blades, I'll get about 1.5 weeks out of, others only a few days. Booooooo; I want a refund dammit!!!

I was always hirsute, even as a kid. The little girls would put Duct Tape on my arms to yank the hair out. :Q That's OK though....I grabbed me a handful while they were paining me. See? Even as a young, impotent little ah heck, I was a horndogger! Had not the slightest idea what to do w/it, but I wanted to touch it!!!

TMI fact of the day: My GF shaves my back every two weeks. Back hair is GROSSSSSSSS!!!@! I HaTe it w/a passion. So does she. She doesn't mind doing it, and it works out for me, since whenever I try to shave my own back, I wind up cutting myself very badly...like "need blood donations" badly. :Q
