I think I get at least 100+ each and everyday. I didn't check my UCLA account for like 2 months and it maxed out the storage limit with 3000+ messages, all spam.

I guess signing up for free stuff from the hotdeals forum has a price after all:disgust:

I use one yahoo email for real stuff, and one for spam. Spam one gets filled every 3 weeks, I get maybe 1 spam a month on the real one.

i didn't know any better and used my school account to sign up for free stuff and when i order stuff online...the result is that account has become almost unusable due to the ungodly amount of spam I receive everyday. And I also was stupid enough to send unsubscribe replies.

Now I know...

This thread brings up a question, is there anyway to have my email account deleted?
(as in Yahoo).

Jeesh... I've had the same e-mail address for almost 10 years now and I only get about 10 a day.

You posted it on a webpage or its visible on some forums somewhere. And/or a website you signed up to with your e-mail address is now sending you spam or they sold/got hacked by/gave to spammers.

Or the last option, you have a very generic address like James@ISP.com, and the spammers are getting lucky via random spam attempts.
