The DVD burner doesn't even do -R just +R.

But when you look at the parts list and the included $1,100 20" LCD it's not a horrible price. I priced a similar set of parts at newegg, with 320 GB instead of 500 GB of HD space and it came to about $2100 including XP Pro. You're only paying $100-200 for assembly, warranty, and support (though Dell consumer support gets a fair number of rants here).

I'd never buy it of course -- I don't want the monitor, and my parts list is better than theirs: Asus P4C800-E, Pioneer A06 burner, Asus 9800 XT with VIVO & HL2 coupon instead of generic, etc.
