We were discussing dating and race today in lecture, and we all wrote down the number of people we've dated in the past (along with a racial breakdown, to see if we were biased one way or another and, if so, its implications). If you don't feel comfortable specifying the race, don't worry about it... just select the number in the poll. I didn't realize what an interesting distribution I had until I put it down on paper:
-9 white (5 "American," 1 French, 1 Dutch-Irish, 1 Polish, 1 Italian)
-1 Black (Nigerian)
-1 Brazilian
-1 Portuguese
-1 Middle Eastern
-1 Korean
-2 Jewish
-1 1/2 German, 1/2 Mexican
I got to know a lot of very interesting people during my first 2 years at the University of Michigan.
