Inspired fromQuix's post. A lot of you seem to post from work. I'm sure not all of your companies have such lax internet usage policies. I know mine doesn't. Out of the people who browse to ATOT how many of you come here during work-hours in clear violation of company policy.

And how, may I ask do you avoid getting punished. =p
 
Well, since I am a RN in an ICU, I only post from home! Since I have been home growing a baby, I am online more than usual!

(PS. PRAY for baby growing to be finished EARLY AUGUST!)
 
I do, and am proud of it.

I avoid it cause I got mad haxor skillz.

Actually, I think it's just because they don't necessarily monitor it closely and we're a friggen large corporation, with a relatively small IT department.
 
what is our internet usage policy?

i am just testing stuff, i have to generate traffic to test, a network with no traffic doesn't prove anything
 
I'm pretty sure I'm in violation but I'm cool with the IT guys so I don't worry about it much. The VP did however send out an email last week warning us. Oh well. I wouldn't make it through the day without you guys.
 
We have a filtering system here at work; if I'm not supposed to be somewhere the way I know is that I can't get there.
 
you know what, this place is so lenient, i've been on here before when the boss walks back, he knows I go on here often.. I am not worried. a lot of the time I am on a call, I am on here too.. I am not NOT getting the job done, so it shouldn't matter anyways. (at least for me)
 
I own the company, I run the network, I do what I want. Admittedly, I *should* be catching up on some of the accounting right now, but nobody but myself is going to be miffed at my taking a break and I'll get over it.
 
I haven't ever read our policy. If it restricts things such as ATOT, it's not enforced here (although I suppose it could be if someone wanted a reason to fire someone). If my boss told me to cut it out, I would, but I doubt it would ever happen. This job has so much downtime that we're encouraged to waste time on the internet. 😛
 
as long as Im not going to porn sites and shiat, I dont think they really care. Then again, what else is on the net these days other than porn?
