Poll: How many of you out there know what DECA (High School Org.) is??

I was just curious to see how many people out there know what it is. If there is enough people I?ll update this forum to see if this current proj. will work out

~Updated~ Ok here it is, DECA is an association of marketing students and I was just wondering if anyone in anandtech would want to contribute to my friends national campaign. Doesn't really matter how much but as long as it?s reasonable. The fundraising will take place in our school, which is Champlin Park High School (Jesse Ventura high school at which he coached football at, kind of a reference point). This ordeal will last till about the end of March or maybe even before. DECA is a great program that some schools have throughout the nation. CP is what Champlin Park High School is going to be referenced to from now on has been in DECA ever since the school has been opened. If I recall correctly this whole campaign will cost around the 12000 mark but I know I cant make that or even close to it but hey.. Every little bit counts. If you think this is a hoax I would be even willing to set up a time and call you on the phone and explain it in a more professional fashion.
I had an idea just today about getting more through the Internet because it would get all the anandtech'rs as well as more people. My classmates were like no way its to hard, this and that, but it would be kind of cool to prove them wrong. Well this is like a long monologue but if you have any question or more info on the campaign I?d be willing to email as well as call you at your convenience.

I don't remember what the acronym stands for, but my ex was in DECA in high school - some sort of youth business organization? It's been a looong time.

Well, see now it all makes sense. The ex was in DECA and ended up being a sleazy salesman. Well, okay, a salesman that happens to be a pig. Be very afraid, onza.

Seriously though, a lot of his classmates that were in DECA with him ended up going on to illustrious careers in big business and law. Good luck with your project - you might want to explain exactly what kind of "campaign" your friend is running.
