Ummm no i bought mine already built because i don't have time to spend my entire life in the general hardware forum trying to get the thing to work when i can just nef here.
 
Why build your own when you can spend rediculus (sp?) amounts of money on a Compaq like JohnnyKnoxville. I mean a hour of your time versus a few hundred bucks means nothing when you can brag about the Corvette your friend let you drive or the house your uncle loaned you. 😉

Been building systems for 10yrs, won't stop any time soon. Bought a case in '92 for my 286, it now has a K6-2 450 in it. AT case so it is limited.

Researching for good prices is a pain in the @SS. True, we can save some bucks when building our own. But getting everything put together in a cost effective manner definitely takes more than an hour.

It's not your money afterall, why crapping others opinion?

He's an ass. He came into my car thread crapping saying Hondas are sh*tty cars and how his friends Corvette can kill all Hondas. I mean gosh, why brag about a friends car? 🙁
 
Dude, sounds like you got a serious problem with him... I don't think this thread (or BBS) is not a good place for you to crap anyone. Call him whatever you want but what you are doing is just making an &quot;whatever you want&quot; of yourself.

Don't make it sound like whoever buys computer from Compaq has a problem. If he got a problem, it's him, not because he buys from Compaq.
 
Nothing beats the feeling of doing it yourself. When you put all the pieces together you KNOW whats in it. Everything was tailored to how you saw fit and not some other company. In the end with a little research on HOW-TO's you will feel giddy, for lack of a better word, doing it yourself.
