Poll: How many of you actually "laugh out loud" when you type LOL?

First place, it's a phrase that I've only used once or twice EVER on a BBS. And when I used it, it was one of the few times I actually did crack up laughing over something.

So the short answer would be "Me!"

If I type 'lol' I have said 'ha!' and smiled. This could mean that I am acknowleging irony, sarcasm, etc. I may also be laughing at myself, which is something I try to do as often as possible.

If I type 'LOL', I have said 'ha ha' and smiled longer. This could mean that I thought what I read was pretty cute or reasonably funny. This also could mean that I am really amazed by my own stupidity.

If I type LMAO, ROTF, or ROTFLMAO, that means I had a laughgasm, and I thank you.

Here's how I do it:

LOL = brought a smile to my face
LMAO = I actually lauged, although my ass did not strictly speaking 'fall off'
ROFL = I laughed quite hard for at least 10 seconds, although I didn't actually get out of my seat and proceed to mime an epileptic fit on the floor.

I?m always laughing when I see or read a funny post, my wife thinks I?m going crazy when I do. She?s always telling me to stop laughing at that damn computer.

Just as an example, snow patrols post, I laughed and she gave me a funny look.

lol = a little funny, no change in facial expression though
haha = funny...a little smirk but thats it
hahaha = very small amount of real laughter
more ha's on the end = more laughing....but never like real, loud laughter like in a real conversation
